Mr. Rash has been in Pittsburgh since 1995, previously he worked with his father representing the Floratine Products Group in Central and Eastern Virginia. He has served as an industrial board of director for the Greater Pittsburgh GCSA and as a representative of the advisory board for the Floratine Products Group. He graduated with a B.A. in Business Management from North Carolina State University.
Mr. Barton was the Golf Course Superintendent at The Club at Blackthorne in Murrysville, PA. Prior to that he was an Assistant Superintendent at Westmoreland Country Club in Export, PA and Woodholme Country Club in Baltimore, MD. Along with interning at Oakmont Country Club, he worked the 2002 US Open at Bethpage Black and 2002 US Senior Open at Caves Valley. Mr. Barton holds a B.S. in Agriculture and Natural Resources from the University of Maryland and an A.A. in Mathematics from Hagerstown Community College.
Mr. Ferruchie graduated from Lake City Community College with an A.S. in Turfgrass Management. His professional affiliations include the GCSAA, USGA Greens Section Committee Member, President of the Pennsylvania Golf Course Superintendents Association (2004-2007) and President of the Greater Pittsburgh GCSA (1998-1999).
Mr. Rodgers began his Superintendent career at Jackson Valley Country Club in Warren, PA. Following that he was the Golf Course Superintendent at Grove City Country Club and finally at Sharon Country Club where he was the Superintendent for 24 years. Mr. Rodgers graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Agronomy. He began his sales career in 2001 in Western Pennsylvania and North Eastern Ohio. Mr. Rodgers has been active in the local Northwestern PA GCSA and a director on the PTC Board.
Dr. Thomas Watschke
Dr. Thomas Watschke, Professor Emeritus of Turfgrass Science at the Pennsylvania State University was on the faculty in one capacity or another for over 40 years. Dr. Tom has taught nine courses in turfgrass management along with authoring and co-authoring hundreds of research publications. Dr. Tom continues to be active on the speaker circuit giving presentations at various conferences and consults with numerous golf courses that have held USGA events.
Mr. Meinert is our warehouse and logistics manager. He joined the Hodges Rash Company in February of 2010. Dave brings 15 years of experience having worked as a warehouse and logistics manager with Grimm Trucking. He has his CDL license and personally makes many of the deliveries you are accustomed to seeing. What you might not know is that Dave was also a Chef of 17 years at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh.
Mr. Baranowski is in charge of Business Operations. Jason joined the Hodges Rash Company in 2013 and holds an Associates Degree in Turfgrass Management with over 20 years experience in the landscape/ horticulture field. Previously, he was an assistant at Diamond Run Golf Club. In addition, he worked 4 years at the Phipps Conservatory and sits on the advisory board for the horticulture program at the Bidwell Training Center.
